POSITION SUMMARY

 

Barton Malow is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Auburn Hills, MI at the Chrysler Technical Center. The Electrical Project Engineer will lead the design and implementation of new construction, facility expansions, and equipment installations across Metro-Detroit non-manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and Stellantis standards. This role collaborates with cross-functional engineering teams to develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and construction documents while supporting execution within approved parameters. The position also partners with skilled trades and contractors to successfully deliver capital projects from concept through completion.


KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interface with cross functional professional engineering staff pertaining to electrical, mechanical, and architectural programming, design development, and construction document preparation.
  • Develop facility installation estimates, project schedule and budget requirements for capital projects.
  • Support approved projects to scope, budget, and timing requirements.
  • Interface with skilled trades or outside contractors during project implementation.
  • Provide electrical designs, planning, and implementation of facility changes and expansions to all applicable codes and Stellantis standards.  Tasks include design, develop material list to implement design, and task construction sequencing.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, construction management or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years’ experience in building/facility electrical project management.
  • Excellent skills in verbal/written communication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
