POSITION SUMMARY

 

Barton Malow Company is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer (Self-Perform) to join our Building Trades team in Buffalo, New York. This role involves providing technical support, document control, and project management for various construction projects, primarily in automotive, renewables, and industrial markets across North America. Travel is expected as part of the role.


KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide technical support for resolution and tracking of project issues
  • Manage all project document control
  • Process submittals and RFI’s
  • Support Procurement in the distribution of bidding documents and tracking of bidders
  • Maintain project schedule
  • Prepare and issue meeting minutes
  • Assist with planning and managing site logistics
  • Enforce corporate safety policies on jobsite
  • Receive and review/evaluate contractor quotations for changes and process change orders
  • Manage plan review and approval process with local and state municipalities


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • 5-7 years of relevant professional experience 
  • OSHA 30 Hour preferred
  • Industrial markets project experience highly preferred
  • Strong proactive positive attitude with commitment to safety
