POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager or Director of Operations, the Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Serving as the central point of coordination, the Project Manager leads cross‑functional teams, manages resources, mitigates risks, and keeps stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills to successfully guide a project from initiation through closeout.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the full life cycle of construction projects across the industrial, renewable energy, and automotive sectors from initiation through closeout, ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
- Provide effective leadership to internal project teams through clear direction, coaching, and constructive performance feedback.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules that define key milestones, resource requirements, and interdependencies.
- Safeguard project profitability through disciplined cost control, accurate forecasting, and effective cash-flow management.
- Maintain current and accurate project cost forecasts and schedule updates.
- Interpret, administer, and ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of prime contracts and subcontracts.
- Negotiate, issue, and administer subcontracts, and evaluate vendor and subcontractor progress claims.
- Administer change orders through impact assessment, pricing, negotiation, approval, and implementation.
- Act as the primary client liaison, ensuring timely communication, transparency, and responsive service throughout project delivery.
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with clients, permitting authorities, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate EPC design activities to ensure alignment with project milestones and technical requirements.
- Review drawings, specifications, and engineering deliverables to confirm completeness, accuracy, and contractual compliance.
- Proactively identify project risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Develop and execute recovery plans when project budgets or schedules are at risk.
- Facilitate the timely resolution of issues and conflicts involving project teams and contractors.
- Prepare comprehensive performance reports addressing project cost, schedule, and cash-flow status.
- Maintain complete and accurate project documentation in accordance with company standards and contractual requirements.
- Contribute to business development and estimating initiatives, including proposal development and contract negotiations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior Project Manager or Director.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 6 years of project management experience in construction, including managing complex industrial, automotive, renewable energy, electrical, substation, utility, or EPC project scopes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of technical education and relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience with project cost control, forecasting, scheduling, contract administration, change management, procurement, and subcontractor management.
- Working knowledge of utility-scale electrical infrastructure, BESS, substations, medium- and high-voltage systems, testing, energization, or commissioning is strongly preferred.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, cost reports, technical submittals, and engineering deliverables.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project; experience with construction management and document-control systems is an asset.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated commercial judgment and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

- Reliable transportation. Must be able to work full-time at the project site in Spencerville, Ontario, with flexibility to support project demands.
BENEFITS & COMPENSATION:
- Base salary range is $125,000 - $165,000, dependent on candidate job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
