POSITION SUMMARY

The Sr. Project Controls Accountant position comes with an expectation of experience in Accounting or Finance.  The Sr. Project Controls Accountant must be able to support project teams with a high level of logical, analytical skills and expertise to produce timely, accurate and meaningful financial information. 

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*: KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*: 

• Understanding of Owner Contracts, including billing process, change order process, mark ups, and required documents.
• Manages project lifecycle from startup through project close
• Performs routine change management
• Produces owner report or ad hoc reporting as needed.
• Ability to train and mentor Project Accounting Coordinators and Project Accountants.
• Assist with project budget and cost forecasting and financial reporting for project

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance Preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience required
• Intermediate skills in SAP (preferred), MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
• Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external partners
• Ability to analyze, identify and resolve issues with accounts receivable and payable
• Effective time management, organization skills and attention to detail.  Ability to multi-task, prioritize activities and work under pressure.
• Ability to recognize and communicate project risks and analyze various methods and types of project deliveries
