We're seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent who reflects these values and is ready to lead construction operations on a major healthcare project in Evansville, IN.
The Senior Superintendent is responsible for managing all field operations on an active healthcare campus, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with contract documents. This role is critical in driving field productivity, maintaining schedule alignment, enforcing infection control and safety standards, and delivering a high-quality facility to the owner.
Must be willing to travel to or relocate near to Evansville / Madisonville KY.
Key Responsibilities
Field Oversight & Trade Coordination
- Supervise and coordinate all trade partners to maintain workflow, prevent conflicts, and keep the project on schedule
- Monitor trade performance and enforce compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and contract documents
- Oversee work sequencing in occupied and sensitive healthcare environments, including infection control risk assessment (ICRA) and interim life safety measures (ILSM)
Schedule & Logistics
- Develop and maintain a detailed field schedule, identifying critical path activities and proactively addressing potential delays
- Assist in developing and managing site logistics plans that minimize disruption to active clinical operations
- Coordinate phasing and sequencing to maintain a safe, functional environment for patients and staff throughout construction
Quality Control & Punchlist
- Drive quality control processes to ensure work meets drawings, specifications, and healthcare facility standards
- Oversee completion of punchlist activities and systems commissioning in coordination with the owner and design team
Technical & Contractual Support
- Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by enforcing contract requirements and minimizing field changes
- Resolve field conflicts and disputes promptly to avoid schedule impacts and mitigate claims
- Support development of scopes of work and front-end documents consistent with trade jurisdiction requirements
Communication & Collaboration
- Maintain strong communication with the Project Manager, project team, and owner's facilities staff
- Lead coordination meetings and ensure alignment between trades, vendors, design partners, and hospital stakeholders
Qualifications
- 8-10+ years of commercial construction experience, with a strong preference for healthcare project experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of ICRA/ILSM requirements and the unique demands of building in active healthcare environments preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent field experience
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
