POSITION SUMMARY

Barton Malow is expanding its procurement capabilities within the Energy group to support the acquisition of Balance of Plant equipment and materials for major power generation projects. We are seeking experienced procurement professionals to strengthen our existing team, ensuring we continue to deliver best-in-class solutions for complex energy infrastructure. We are looking to add both leadership and individual contributor roles, enhancing our ability to strategically source, negotiate, and manage the procurement lifecycle. These individuals will collaborate with engineering, project management, and construction teams to optimize procurement strategies and ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of critical project materials.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for Balance of Plant (BOP) equipment and materials.
• Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers for power plant components such as pumps, piping, heat exchangers, cooling systems, structural steel, and electrical equipment.
• Ensure all procurement activities align with project schedules, budgets, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project management teams to verify equipment specifications and ensure timely delivery.
• Evaluate supplier qualifications, conduct competitive bidding (RFQs, RFPs), and negotiate pricing and terms.
• Oversee logistics, transportation, and warehousing of procured materials, ensuring efficient tracking and inventory management.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including potential delays and cost fluctuations.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards, contract requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establishes, maintains relationships, and develops a high level of trust and credibility with clients, business partners, subcontractors, and project teams
• Utilize procurement and ERP systems to track and report purchasing activities.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Construction, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in procurement and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Autodesk, or similar).
• 3+ years of experience in sourcing and purchasing for large-scale industrial or energy projects.
• Strong contract negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing expertise.
• Experience procuring Balance of Plant (BOP) materials such as, pumps, motors, valves, electrical equipment, mechanical piping, and I&C.
• Familiarity with EPC projects is highly preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB CONDITIONS:

• Travel for project assignments may be required based on Company needs.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
