Barton Malow is searching for a seasoned General Superintendent with proven healthcare construction experience in Florida. This role requires flexibility to support projects across the state or to lead a locally based assignment. 

The  General Superintendent is responsible for supervising the daily construction activities on our job sites to ensure the project's completion within budget, schedule, and quality standards. Other administrative duties such as coordinating with contractors and suppliers, monitoring the inventory of materials, purchasing supplies according to project requirements, developing reports, conducting inspections, and implementing safety policies and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Supervises and oversees all phases of the construction project from initial planning through project close-out.
• Supervise the construction of a large project or multiple projects 
• Supervise and develop the project team 
• Communicates and ensures compliance with all safety and quality control processes and procedures.
• Supervises, coordinates and sequences contractors’ work to minimize interference between various contractors on the project; may supervise and coordinate trades.
• Maintains records of labor and material cost; tracks inventory of supplies and materials to ensure materials are on hand and available to complete planned construction activity as scheduled.
• Assumes a lead role in addressing and resolving any trade disputes or work jurisdiction issues.
• Manages relationships and communication with internal team members as well as subcontractors and other trade partners.

Requirements:

• 10 -15 years of experience on $50M - $100M commercial construction industry. Healthcare experience on construction projects is required. 
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
• 4-year technical/engineering degree or equivalent experience 
• Local experience and contractor knowledge preferred 
• Ability to manage risk aspects of the project 
• Strong technical, communication, and organizational skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs 
• OSHA 30-hour certified 
• AHCA experience strongly preferred 
• Ability to travel within Florida
