We are looking for a Project Controls Engineer to provide scheduling support services to our projects and valued clients. This position will be on-site and will work with a team of professionals, including project managers, construction professionals, and project stakeholders. In this role, you will maintain and modify project master schedules from conception through the project life cycle to ensure compliance with scheduling best practices.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Learn/Understand CPM scheduling terminology to implement Barton Malow scheduling standard practice
- Assists in the preparation of proposal and project schedules and various scheduling analysis as required during the design and construction phase of the project.
- Observes and participates in pull-planning meetings as part of the schedule development process
- Observe field activities to understand the evolution of project progress, help hold contractors accountable to schedule commitments, and to support project superintendents
- Conducts schedule update meetings with all parties involved to ensure the team is working the plan
- Interface with project management team regarding change impacts to the schedule (change orders, RFI, etc. ) and document project progress.

- Collaborates with project accounting and procurement to ensure schedule alignment with cost and contracts
- Analyzes and reports accurate project schedule information
- Performs all other job duties as assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Proficient with developing, maintaining, and updating Primavera P6 schedules
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work with project teams and subcontractors
- Efficient time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines while providing project support
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Architectural & Engineering preferred
- 3 - 5 years of relevant experience preferred in project controls and CPM scheduling
- Prior experience with Cost Loaded or Resource Loaded Schedules preferred
- Experience with Pull Planning / Last Planner System preferred
