POSITION SUMMARY
Barton Malow is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented MEP Logistics Coordinator to support logistics operations for a mission-critical data center project near Philadelphia, PA. This role is essential in assisting with the planning, tracking, and execution of material and equipment movement for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) activities.
The ideal candidate will have foundational experience in construction logistics or MEP coordination and a strong desire to grow within mission-critical environments. This position supports the MEP Logistics Manager, MEP teams, and field operations to ensure timely deliveries, accurate documentation, and efficient site logistics. It offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with high-performance building systems and complex logistical workflows.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Track and update lead times for MEP materials and OFCI equipment, assisting with procurement status reporting.
- Help coordinate daily MEP deliveries including delivery schedules, staging needs, and site access requirements.
- Support site logistics planning by managing material laydown areas, maintaining organized storage zones, and monitoring material flow to work areas.
- Assist in scheduling and facilitating training sessions for OFCI systems and equipment vendors.
- Update and manage submittal logs for OFCI equipment and O&M manuals, ensuring all documentation is current and properly distributed.
- Help identify and track issues related to deliveries, site access, or logistics constraints, escalating them to the MEP Logistics Manager as needed.
- Coordinate with commissioning (Cx) teams to schedule service technicians and support field activities.
- Maintain warranty logs, tracking equipment information and field-reported issues.
- Work closely with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to support day-to-day logistics operations.
- Ensure compliance with site safety policies and maintain organized, safe logistic areas.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in construction management, logistics, engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in construction logistics, project coordination, MEP support, or related roles.
- Understanding of basic MEP construction processes and material/equipment workflows is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction platforms such as BIM360, Bluebeam, or other project management tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with field teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Willingness to learn commissioning, turnover, and documentation processes.
