We are currently hiring for a Safety Manager to join our team for an upcoming Mission Critical program. The ideal candidate will have relevant

Data Center project and safety leadership experience. The Safety Manager will administer the organization's safety program to maintain a safe, healthy working environment and ensure our program’s effectiveness.

Position Summary:

The Safety Manager plans, coordinates, and executes safety responsibilities as specified in the Barton Malow safety manual and Barton Malow

standard practices. May also develop project specific safety plans, initiatives, or directives.  The primary function of the Safety Manager is to coordinate

and manage safety at any size, scope or type project by managing and coordinating all project safety professional responsibilities, and effectively implement,

execute, maintain, and document all safety efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the project safety professionals to exceed customer and Barton Malow requirements.
• Conduct safety meetings and educational programs as directed; interface with labor and management representatives to discuss and resolve safety items.
• Assist in controlling hazardous working conditions and unsafe activities through interface with management personnel, including all sub-contractors.
• Assist with project setup, auditing the process, and providing direct feedback for improvements.
• Review incident investigations and make recommendations for improvement to the Senior Safety Manager.
• Monitor project safety program; including all accidents, safety violations, unsafe conditions/activities and recommend corrective actions for improvement.
• Lead and mentor other members of Project Safety team.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 10+ years of jobsite Safety Management experience
• OSHA Construction 30 hour or 510 required; OSHA 500 is preferred
• Relevant Mission Critical project/market experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health + Safety, related discipline or equivalent industry experience
• Current First Aid & CPR certificate
• Advanced knowledge of safety and construction principles, practices, standards, and methods
• Basic knowledge of environmental regulations
