POSITION SUMMARY

The Community Relations Manager at Barton Malow is an exciting opportunity for an individual to develop and expand a new service to the entire Michigan Education Market.  As the Community Relations Manager you will collaborate with clients to create written and graphic content for district communications, including newsletters, social media posts, and video content.  This position will also lead the development and implementation of a sales and staffing strategy to grow into a sustainable service.  The Community Relations Manager must be familiar with the educational environment, develop visually appealing content, and communicate a clear message reflective of the client’s desires. The ideal candidate possesses the following abilities / qualities: detail-oriented, self-starter, outgoing, organized, exceptional listening skills, timeliness, flexibility to travel throughout Michigan, effective communicator and most of all possess an entrepreneurial spirit.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with the Education Group leadership and potential clients to develop compelling content, strategies, and campaigns.
  • Design sales / staffing strategies that align with efficient and profitable project execution.
  • Implement effective sales strategies and ensure their successful execution.
  • Work closely with district officials to ensure staff, students, and the community that content appropriately informs target audiences
  • Design and conceptualize engaging graphics, stories, and infographics for use in all communication pieces.

 

KEY SKILLS:

  • Proficient with Mac OS.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Coordinate resources effectively to achieve team goals.
  • Edit content to ensure quality, accuracy, and readability.
  • Skilled in using various Social Media Platforms.
  • Competent in document design and layout.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and articulate communicator.
  • Embrace and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Possess strong sales skills and client relationship management abilities.
  • Familiarity with video content development and usage.
