POSITION SUMMARY
Barton Malow Company is seeking a Construction Commissioning Manager for various solar projects across Michigan. The ideal candidate will have 8+ experience in commissioning and document control management. This position requires direct knowledge and experience in building systems commissioning, building management and control systems, commissioning software (such as CxAlloy), and all associated documentation and close-out procedures.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring major components for turnover and completion are transitioned in a timely and organized manner.
- Ensuring turnover is in compliance with client and company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Executing and monitoring compilation of commissioning turnover documentation deliverables.
- Developing and maintaining commissioning system turnover definitions and schedules.
- Integrating with project’s scheduling team to ensure timely commissioning and documentation for system turnover.
- Managing commissioning completion punch lists and ensuring timely completion of all outstanding work and turnover documentation.
- Providing weekly and monthly reports detailing the status of the commissioning of components and systems.
- Interpreting and clarifying, when necessary, system scoping and numbering.
- Compiling all turnover documentation to be included in turnover dossier.
- Ensure all required training is planned and executed per the contract documents.
- Liaising with Client to ensure client satisfaction based on contractual requirements.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Minimum 8 years of industry related experience.
- A degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or construction management is preferred.
- Technical background and/or work experience in clean energy projects.
- Proficient with commissioning software such as CxAlloy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, BIM360 and Blue Beam.
- Familiarity and understanding of QA/QC documentation, turnover processes, systems, drawings and diagrams.
- The ideal candidate will be organized and excel at multitasking while being able to work effectively at performing repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of concentration.
- Strong technical and communication skills are required.
- Must be able to work as a team player independently and learn quickly in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB CONDITIONS:
- Travel will be required for project assignments, with short trips occurring monthly to our project sites and offices across North America, based on company needs.
