POSITION SUMMARY

 

Barton Malow is seeking a Content Manager to join our team in Southfield, MI. In this role, you will oversee the creation and maintenance of standard work documentation, ensuring accessibility and consistency across the organization.  You will also implement templates and style guidelines, manage review processes, and streamline documentation practices. Staying up to date on industry trends will also be essential to drive continuous improvement in our content strategy.


KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the production, maintenance, and measurement of the continuous improvement framework, ensuring that standard work is easily searchable and accessible to all team members.
  • Establish standard templates and style guidelines for value stream maps, process maps, and standard work and ensure compliance.
  • Manage review/approval cycles for standard work.
  • Standardize where and how information is stored throughout the enterprise with an eye toward. identifying redundancy in documentation across functions.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in the area of content strategy.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Communications, Information Management, or a related discipline.
  • Highly proficient in M365 applications, particularly SharePoint, Teams, Visio, and Word.
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics.
  • Experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of document management systems and best practices for digital content organization.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB CONDITIONS: 

  • This is a hybrid position, working remotely with the expectation of attending in-person team meetings and events, as necessary.
  • Travel for project assignments may be required based on company needs.
