POSITION SUMMARY
The Lean Manager 2 partners with teams and individuals to identify waste, and assist in the implementation of incremental improvements. Doing this requires a commitment to becoming an expert in Lean principles and practices to help foster a Lean culture at Barton Malow.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*
- Lead the implementation of Lean project support services within area of responsibility while building strong relationships with project teams.
- Facilitate Lean events (e.g., value stream mapping, process mapping, kaizen events) with cross-functional teams.
- Lead the development, ongoing maintenance, and implementation of value stream map(s), associated process maps, and standard work instructions within area of responsibility.
- Drive continuous improvement within area(s) of responsibility.
- Teach Lean principles to Barton Malow team members through structured learning opportunities and mentorship
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Lean Team programs and standard work.
- Advance personal knowledge of Lean tools and methods
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Proficiency in Lean fundamentals
- Group facilitation skills – ability to engage, motivate, and focus a room full of people, regardless of prior experience with the subject matter
- Ability to overcome resistance to change and build buy-in at the organization and project levels.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB CONDITIONS
- Travel for project assignments is required based on Company needs.
