Position: Project Accountant

As a Project Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role supporting project teams delivering major construction projects across sports and entertainment venues, higher-education facilities, healthcare environments, cutting-edge aerospace, and many other industries. Job Duties

• Analyze and resolve project accounting issues, processing payables in compliance with contractual and accounting standards.
• Reconcile job cost to ensure accurate owner billing, and communicate cost variances to the project team.
• Perform monthly owner pay applications and required project reporting.
• Reconcile accounts receivable, provide billing accruals, and audit aged accounts with the project team.
• Support project budget setup, reviewing mark-ups and price conditions for accuracy.
• Analyze forecasting and cost reviews with project teams, identifying risk and its impact on project financials.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably in construction cost analysis, project accounting, or project controls.  
• Understanding of construction accounting concepts such as job costing, owner billing, and change orders.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to analyze, identify, and resolve accounts receivable and payable issues.
• Ability to balance a project team role with financial controls and fiduciary responsibilities.
• Ability to recognize and communicate project risks and understand various construction project delivery methods.
• Effective time management, organization, and attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure.
