POSITION SUMMARY

The Risk Management Analyst 2 oversees various aspects of insurance within the Risk Management team. This role involves managing auto insurance claims, coordinating builders' risk policy enrollments, overseeing bond processes, and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders. The Risk Management Analyst 2 plays a vital role in supporting traditional renewals, Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI}, and Contractor-Controlled Insurance Program (CCIP} processes.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees and handles all auto insurance claims and reports claims for all other insurance except for workers' compensation.
  • Manages the entire builders risk policy enrollments from procurement to reporting on closeouts. Coordinates the surety bond process, handling procurement, invoicing, and comprehensive reports.
  • Oversees insurance programs, including the procurement of policies and management of claims. Manages relationships with external parties, including insurance carriers and risk assessment agencies.
  • Assists in Barton Malow s traditional renewal process.
  • Assists with the SDI (Subcontractor Default Insurance} and CCIP (Contractor-Controlled Insurance Program) process.
  • Assists with the preparation of CCIP sales material.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor s degree or relevant experience preferred.
  • A valid insurance license is strongly preferred and a CRIS Designation is nice to have. Prior industry experience, with a strong understanding of insurance operations.
  • Knowledge of insurance programs and the ability to effectively manage insurance policies and claims.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Word Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders. Detailed-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to recognize inefficiencies and take action to help improve current tasks.
  • Travel may be required based on company needs.

Skill Set

  • Must possess a solid working knowledge of commercial or construction property, liability, financial/professional insurances and contract surety.
  • Must be a self-starter who is able to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
  • Previous experience in the construction industry related to risk management/assessment and construction accounting.
  • Must type proficiently and possess the ability to use standard PC software applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe (PDFs).
  • Must possess the ability to communicate in standard form English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must possess solid interpersonal skills which will enable the incumbent to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others both within and outside BMC at all levels of the organization.
  • Must possess the ability to work under pressure at times.
