POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting with daily and monthly accounting functions as a member of the Corporate Accounting team. The Senior Financial Analyst is vital to the month-end close process including journal entries, reporting, and account reconciliations. In addition, the Senior Financial Analyst participates in ad-hoc projects, initiatives, and collaborates with team members throughout the organization and third party service providers. The Senior Financial Analyst assists with Barton Malow Enterprises, Barton Malow Company, and Barton Malow Builders annual financial statement audits. Core competencies include strong accounting, communication, and IT skills. CPA preferred.

 

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Maintain monthly close calendar and close checklist.
  • Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Complete monthly project status report to trial balance reconciliation.
  • Assists with income statement consolidation in OneStream software.
  • Review and improve processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist with the annual financial statement audits.
  • Ad-hoc reporting and special projects.
  • Develop OneStream software power user skill set.
