ABOUT THE ROLE
Barton Malow's Shared Services team supports Accounts Payable, Treasury, Procurement, and Cash Receipts operations across the company — including corporate travel, expense, and credit card programs. This role is a direct, hands-on partner to the Senior Manager of Treasury and Shared Services, taking ownership of recurring financial operations, audit support, vendor administration, and cross-functional backup coverage across the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Own recurring financial reporting and reconciliation activities, including cash posting variance resolution, KPI reporting, and reimbursement reviews
● Support cash receipts application and posting
● Lead audit support and documentation across internal, external, and union audit requests
● Manage vendor administration and compliance, including system-based vendor updates, agreement tracking, and remittance communication
● Support the corporate travel, expense, and credit card programs, including Concur administration and serving as a backup for the travel function
● Serve as a cross-trained backup across AP, Treasury, and Procurement functions to ensure continuity during leave or peak volume periods
● Coordinate day-to-day Shared Service requests and escalate resourcing needs to leadership
● Support system transitions and process improvements across the Shared Services platform (SAP, Concur, and related tools)
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
● Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
● 5+ years of experience in shared services, accounting operations, or a similar finance/operations role, ideally in construction or another project-based industry
● Working knowledge of SAP, Concur, Textura, PaymentWorks, or comparable ERP/procurement systems
● Experience with audit support, reconciliations, and KPI/metrics reporting
● Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across daily, weekly, monthly, and as needed deliverables
● A highly collaborative approach — comfortable working closely across AP, Treasury, and Procurement, and building strong relationships with vendors, owners, and internal teams
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Within the first six months, this person is cross trained across all functional areas of the team and able to assist with coverage during staff outages and high-volume periods. Within the first year, they've taken ownership of multiple areas and are working to improve processes and move the team forward.
