POSITION SUMMARY
The Sr. Safety Professional Support Services position is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating engaging safety training, managing safety communications, monitoring key analytics, and supporting compliance systems. This position utilizes data and research to incorporate innovative ideas and to improve training and compliance solutions, ensuring alignment with business strategies. Key Responsibilities:
Training Development & Facilitation
- Facilitate various in-person training presentations.
- Oversee other facilitators of the training program to provide guidance and feedback to ensure that the messaging is being delivered with excellence in a consistent manner.
- Oversee and assist with virtual and online training formats.
- Ability to travel to Barton Malow locations to assist with delivery of safety training courses as needed
- Develop safety training materials and instructional guides for facilitation based on organizational needs.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally, with subject matter experts, and with 3rd party vendors to produce creative instructor led training (ILT) & e-Learning experiences that fully engage the learner.
Training Program Oversight
- Oversee the current safety training tracking system.
- . Identify existing inefficiencies and opportunities for automation. Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to optimize the training tracking system.
- Optimize the use of the enterprise Learning Management System for safety training facilitation and tracking.
- Develop a training catalog and calendar for team members to view and access the courses offered.
- Develop specific training resource guides for training facilitated by trusted 3rd party training partners.
- Assist with responding to training requests and setting up courses as needed.
Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor and analyze safety performance data, including leading and lagging indicators.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and analytical reports to assist with decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Review and validate the data within the training matrix, compliance trackers, and leading indicator trackers to ensure accurracy.
Compliance Systems
- Support the administration of safety systems including the Incident Management software, Safety Observation software, LMS platforms, and other systems as needed.
- Evaluate and recommend opportunities for improvement to increase efficiency.
- Ensure training content and systems align with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Assist with system migrations and digital transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proactive, solutions oriented, driven to improve processes.
- Sound decision making and organizational skills.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, and competency with various software systems.
- Experience with LMS platforms, safety analytics, and compliance systems is highly desirable.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ safety training and compliance system experience.
- OSHA 510 required or must be obtained within the first 6 months of employment. OSHA 500 is desirable.
