POSITION SUMMARY
Barton Malow is seeking a Video Specialist to join our team in Southfield, Michigan working in a hybrid capacity. As a Video Specialist with Barton Malow, you won’t just be behind the camera; you’ll be shaping our story! Tasked with creating compelling visuals, you’ll capture the action, innovation, and cool construction projects that define our legacy. Partner with talented team members, travel to our exciting project sites, and dive into creative strategies that make construction come alive for our audience. Our ideal candidate is both a technical pro and a collaborative spirit—someone who’s as comfortable discussing creative concepts with our teams as they are refining and editing footage behind the scenes. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Record and edit video content that tells engaging stories while showcasing Barton Malow's legacy, innovation, and unique culture, all within brand standards.
- Ability to work on and manage multiple video projects at a time for various digital formats, events, social media, websites, and more.
- Collaborate with team members across departments to bring creative ideas to life and align videos with project goals.
- Visit project sites and offices to capture footage that documents project milestones, team efforts, and Barton Malow’s impact—creating dynamic content that will be used across the organization for various purposes.
- Organize project files, handle media backups, and maintain an efficient workflow to support timely project delivery.
- Participate in creative strategy discussions to contribute to the overall vision for Barton Malow’s visual identity.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Minimum 3 years of professional Video Production experience.
- Experience in modern digital video production, equipment, and processes.
- Experience with Canon Cinema Cameras and other videography equipment.
- Advanced knowledge of Premiere Pro.
- Working knowledge of After Effects and Lightroom.
- Mac Proficient.
- Bachelor’s degree in Video Production, Media Production, or related field.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB CONDITIONS:
- Travel will be required for project assignments, with short trips occurring monthly to our project sites and offices across North America, based on company needs.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
