Interiors/ Self Perform Superintendent

Promote and enforce a safe work environment and safe work practices for our employees and subcontractors. Supervise and coordinate our work force and subcontractors to ensure work is completed on schedule, in accordance with plans and specifications, while ensuring a quality product for the owner/contractor.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Enforce corporate safety policies on jobsite, providing key responsibility for safety compliance in the field
  • Implement proactive pre-task safety planning for all work activities
  • Read drawings and provide layout for framing and interior finishes
  • Assist in Specialty installations as needed
  • Supervise, coordinate and sequence employees and contractors’ work
  • Monitor performance and coordinate work to maintain productivity of our trades, ensuring adequate manpower for work in place
  • Develop and maintain complete and detailed project schedule and manage work in accordance with the schedule
  • Coordinate and track material deliveries
  • Develop site logistics plans for entire project to maximize productivity
  • Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by enforcing contract requirements and limiting field changes
  • Assist with development of work scopes and front end documents
  • Communicate effectively with the large field operations team
  • Effective timely resolution of conflicts and disputes to minimize delays and claims

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in the interior finishes industry
  • Experience directly supervising trade workers
  • Local experience and contractor knowledge preferred
  • Strong negotiation skills to resolve field issues with subcontractor, design team and/or owner
  • OSHA 30 hour
