We’re seeking a Planning & Scheduling Manager who reflects these values and is ready to support multiple projects and/or business units on a major initiative in St. Louis, MO.
The Planning & Scheduling Manager leads all scheduling efforts, partnering closely with project teams to develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules. This role requires strong communication and client‑facing skills, an ability to build trust with operational teams, and expertise in developing actionable project forecasts that guide cost, manpower, and progress tracking. This position also plays a key role in mentoring Scheduling team members and driving consistent processes across the project or business unit.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule Development & Management
- Lead the creation, maintenance, and progress updates of project schedules across multiple projects.
- Establish schedule baselines and prepare narratives that clearly communicate schedule assumptions.
- Perform detailed variance, float, and delay analyses to support project reporting and decision‑making.
- Forecast project progress from a scheduling perspective and align projections with cost and manpower plans.
Change Management & Risk Identification
- Drive the schedule‑related change management process, ensuring all scope shifts and unforeseen conditions are properly documented.
- Develop and incorporate fragnets, and support Time Impact Analysis (TIA) preparation.
- Identify schedule risks early and communicate them clearly to project teams and leadership.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Supervise, mentor, and support Planning & Scheduling team members.
- Collaborate closely with operational staff to ensure schedule data reflects field realities.
- Build strong relationships with project managers, superintendents, and client representatives.
Reporting & Communication
- Produce schedule updates that support subcontractor, owner, and internal reporting needs.
- Present schedule findings, trends, and risk factors to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain clear, proactive communication with onsite personnel and upper management.
Qualifications
- 6–8 years of planning and scheduling experience related to engineering or construction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Management.
- Proficient in Oracle Primavera P6 Professional.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Basic proficiency with Bluebeam, Prolog, and Box.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage workload effectively and communicate with diverse project teams.
- Experience with stadium construction, design‑build, or fast‑track projects preferred.
